Home buggy home!

A little past 5:30, covered up from bugs, 440 miles today, 1620 miles since leaving Friday and our spring trip is over. Another safe, great ride. Phillip and I mentioned often, we sure did miss Richard. He would have enjoyed it so much and we really did feel he was keeping an eye on us. Until next trip! GMS

Tuesday

We stayed just outside of Baton Rouge last night and after seeing weather reports for Wednesday, decided to push for home today. Starting our day at the Baton Rouge HD, picking up our chips, a couple of real estate calls, and on our way up the old highway to Alexandria. Another pretty day and interesting countryside. GMS

WW II Museum

I was here in 2010 and was amazed by the changes and additions. Before was two buildings, theater and museum. Now, 4 buildings, doubled the size of the theater with gift shop, restaurants and bar and started construction of another building! Still a must see for EVERYONE! Oh, an awesome open faced beef sandwich. GMS

First stop Monday

First stop this morning in Slidell, LA is Northshore Harley. According to their ads, the most sales in the south! Nice store, not a lot of selection on the clearance rack. Phillip did find a sleeping tee from Mardi Gras. Headed south. GMS

Day on the road

Started in Greenville, Al and cross country to Slidell, LA. 350 miles on a gorgeous day through Moss Point and highway 90 along the coast. The beach front homes, beaches and Gulf Coast made for a pleasant ride mostly at 45 mph to see it all! GMS

Your eyes don't know where to look first! The world's largest cycle collection, all under one roof and probably another 250+ in the basement waiting for resto and room for display, which they are close to doubling the size, under construction now. About every bike you can think of and more that you've never heard of. GMS
