Tuesday day 4

Left Alliance, Nebraska‎ and not quite to South Dakota and rain. So, rain suits are in order, no town or shelter for miles, so get a little wet getting dressed. We hit Sturgis and the Caddy's bar and grill, wet, cold and hungry. GMS

Day two: Rogers Arkansas, Breakfast

After a good nights sleep at Cindy and Phillip Daily's Lake House on Beaver Lake we started our journey west with breakfast at Denny's. This is when we usually plan our days journey. We traveled a little over 500 miles today and will have to do the same tomorrow if we are to make Sturgis South Dakota on time. We are anxious to see what Sturgis is like a week after the big rally. We have heard that there is still a great deal of activity. We have been to Sturgis twice before during the rally, so it should be an interesting perspective on what happens when all the hoopla is over with. We may find some real bargains. We are suckers for junk. ROM

Day One: Lunch On The Road

These are a few more pictures to complement the notice that Gaylen posted on our first day lunch at Oark Arkansas on the Mulberry River. This is a must place to eat for those who travel Ark. Hwy 23 (Pig Trail). Take Ark.
Hwy jct 215 off of Hwy 23 and follow it to the end, make a left and there is Oark. This is a beautiful drive along the Mulberry River. ROM

Oark, Arkansas

We have heard about this stop a few years ago in a magazine talking about routes and eating. This cafe and General Store is a few miles east of The Pig Trail, Hwy 23, on Route 215, in the Ozark National forrest, and the Mulberry river. Oark is an old time general store, wood floors, wood stove, wooden tables and great food. The hamburgers where a three hand size, great onion rings, and the atmosphere takes you back several years. We do recommend a stop and eat when you have some time to get off the beaten path. GMS

2015 Harley Adventure

Saturday morning, Andy's parking lot, ready to head out. Phillip and I, this will be our 8th annual, and Richard's 6th annual "BIG" ride. We really look forward to this ride. This will be our Pacific Coast highway ride. We started this ride two years ago when Phillip got sick in Calgary and had to cut the trip short. NOT going into Canada this time, but are as far north as Hwy 12 across Montana. GMS
