We stopped at Cornucopia Wisconsin for the first view of Lake Superior. It was there that we saw an artesian well that had been tapped and was used by local residents and tourists for a water supply. We filled our thermos also and were then on our way. Excess water then flowed into the lake. Lake Superior appeared to be a very clear, clean lake in spite of commercial boat traffic. ROM
